A photo of a frog dying while eating a spider has gone viral and I don't know if I've ever felt this many emotions regarding a single animal photo at once. Maybe photos of animals dying from global warming? But this... this is the oddest photo. A frog died eating a spider that also died while still hanging out of the animal's mouth, giving a very macabre image that makes me feel sorrow as well as awe in the same moment. It's beautiful in a way, but also horrific.
The sharer of the photo on Facebook didn't expect it to go as viral as it did, but now the world's clicking to see it and people are even offering to buy the specimen. That kind of makes me sad, too. I'm still in awe of the photo, but I also think it should be buried after enduring this death. It also reminds me of the fossils we find of animals within other animals.
What did you think of the photo?
